Meet the Female Power Duo Taking Over Boston Real Estate Law
At the forefront of Boston’s luxury real estate law, Sonja B. Selami and Ashley Bernon have teamed together to provide clients with expert professional care that is second to none. With exceptional attention to detail and a personalized approach refined through years of working with high profile clientele, their combined experience enables them to meet and exceed your requirements on every front.
With Selami as a leading attorney in real estate law, and Bernon, a prominent figure in Boston’s real estate community known for her insight, they are the city’s newest power duo. While both share the same competitive mindset and over 20 years of experience each, their diverse backgrounds are what makes them the most dynamic team in luxury real estate law.
Originally from Albania, Selami’s ambitious nature was present from the start. After graduating with top honors from Tirana University School of Law, she quickly became one of the youngest licensed attorneys in her city. In 1996, Sonja chose Boston to continue her legal studies, graduating from New England School of Law where she pursued a focus on real estate. Selami has continued to excel as an attorney, opening her first practice in 2006. Since then, she has opened five additional offices, which together boast a referral and return client rate of over 70%, and have closed over 1.5 billion funded real estate transactions in IOLTA accounts. Perhaps what gives Sonja such an edge against her competitors is the genuine love she has for what she does. She believes that in order to be truly successful, you must find joy in what you choose to pursue. As an attorney, entrepreneur and proud mother of two children, it may seem impossible to find a balance, but Sonja could not be happier with her roles. In return, the compassion and dedication she holds for her clients and fulfillment she receives from her work can make even the most complicated transactions into a seamless experience.
Ashley Bernon, a name well known to those involved in Boston’s philanthropic scene, has always held a passion for real estate. After getting her real estate license at age 19, Bernon has risen to become a distinguished figure in luxury real estate. Between the various charities she maintains to her business endeavors, she understands the Boston area uniquely and uses her knowledge and expertise to guide clients like no other. With Bernon by their side, clients are able to fully experience the best of Boston without bounds, an invaluable asset when making an investment in luxury property. Like Selami, Bernon was not born a Bostonian but specifically chose the city to begin shaping her dreams. She was raised in the South by her grandparents who she credits as sources of inspiration. Her grandmother traveled from Cuba and raised Bernon to be multilingual, and her grandfather held an important role in the development of the levees in New Orleans. In the social climate of Boston real estate, the type of southern hospitality that Bernon brings to each business interaction is truly a breath of fresh air. In addition to all that she does, Bernon says her favorite role is being a mom to two amazing children, who enable her to stay grounded and motivated in all of her endeavors.
These two women, both mothers, multilingual and independently successful, have realized what is possible for their clients when joined together as a team. As they both hold so much experience individually, by combining their expertise they offer incomparable service. And as working mothers, they understand how valuable time is and will work swiftly to cut through the clutter to get their clients exactly what they're looking for. Most importantly, the bond that these women share as friends continues to grow, and the warmth of their friendship continues to set them apart as a team, blurring the lines between business and pleasure.
